ome information about replacement garage door opener remotes…

The following remotes are intended to be used only with garage door openers manufactured after 1993 that utilize “photo-eye” or “beam” style safety sensors.  The safety sensors are located on or near the bottom of the door track (or door frame for one piece/ tilt up style doors).  If your garage door operator does not have the sensors attached and working, then the opener is not compliant with current Federal safety regulations and should be replaced.

The Liftmaster “MAX” series...

893MAX visor clip model,  890MAX keychain model ,  877MAX wireless-keyless entry pad model and the 895MAX motion sensing lighted button visor mount model , universal remotes are truly versatile.  They work with any Liftmaster, Chamberlain, Sears opererators manufactured from 1993 to present with 390 or 315 mhz.  To state it another way, they work with the following color coded “learn” buttons  Learn Button Colors

which will usually be located under the removable light cover on the garage door opener powerhead. They will look similar to this: Green Learn Button  or   or .  These colored buttons are about the size of a dime.  Use of a ladder is often required to access the light cover lens.  If you are not comfortable using a ladder or working above head level on a ladder, please do not try to access the operator yourself.  We will be happy to schedule an appointment to provide a remote that works with your garage door opener, program the remote and service your door.
