Steel Doors

Steel is the most common garage door material choice because it is economical, relatively light weight, durable, and very low maintenance.  Steel doors come in 1-, 2-, 3- or even 4-layer models in Carriage House Style or Traditional Style.  They offer a variety of panel designs, insulation value options, window choices along with decorative hardware and color choices.

Many of the images below show doors with options such as windows or decorative hardware.  Please, click on the brochure links to see the available options for specific door models.

*Door models with an asterisk* typically take 3 - 5 weeks for delivery.  Feel free to contact us for details.

**Unless specifically requested otherwise, I automatically quote and upgade all Wayne-Dalton Steel doors to standard front mounted torsion springs instead of the TorqueMaster springs their brochures list as standard for many models.

Wayne-Dalton 8000
Wayne Dalton's basic, entry level steel garage door. The Model 8000 is an uninsulated, single-layer steel sheet door. The embossed panel designs and optional windows add charm and appeal to your home. An extremely popular choice where insulation is not a requirement and economy is an important factor. (Shown with custom paint and decorative hardware.)

Wayne-Dalton 8024 PO*
This garage door is made of 24 gauge steel. That makes it a great choice for rental properties. It has exposed styles in the back and therefore will also work great as a hand operated garage door (without an electric garage door operator). It has sufficient structural integrity to accept outside keyed lock installation.
The door may be modified to include insulation levels of 3.7 (model 8124) or 7.4 (model 8224).

Like the Wayne-Dalton model 8000 with polystyrene insulation added along with a plastic backing to the insulated sections. The ribbing of the door is still exposed on the back side. This model provides an opportunity to have an insulated garage door without the higher price of foam filled insulated doors.

One of my TOP RECOMMENDATIONS. A very solid door for a very solid value. Heavy-gauge steel wraparound end caps trim-out door edges for better appearance, improved strength and protection of the insulation from damage. Hot-dipped galvanized vertical supports add strength and durability. Extra quiet operation.
